Imphal, February 14 2015 : The closing ceremony of Naga-Gorkha Sports Meet was held today at Thaladada Irang Part-II in Sadar Hills under the aegis of the Programme Committee, Naga-Gorkha Sports Meet 2015 .

A total of ten Naga and Gorkha villages around Irang Part-II participated in the sports meet.
The closing ceremony today was attended by Chairman of Sadar Hills ADC, Haokholal Hangshing; social activist R Stoneson of Makui village and ADC member Bhumi Prasad Basnet as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, Haokholal Hangshing said that sports is universal.
It could play a vital role for the development of the society besides imparting discipline among the people.
He further said that due to non-devolution of power to the ADC no major development works could be implemented through it.
He however assured to implement possible developmental works in collaboration with the public in the days to come.
Bhumi Prasad Basnet hailed the organisers of the sports meet for successfully organising the meet.
